The first of the 'Mother Tree' pieces came out of the kiln yesterday. Some, we made very ethereal, whispery, like they're a secret place you stumble upon and should leave untouched.

Others were made dark and eerie like a deep dark wood in the night.

This texture was inspired by the last 10 years of hiking with our kiddo, seeing the world through his sense of wonder.

We're looking to meet other potters that need a space and have all of their own equipment. We can provide kiln access and a table to work on. We don't have a wheel, but can provide a space for one if someone has their own to bring in.

A microscope was on our one day list of extravagant tools we knew would help hone Tayte's skill set. This one popped out of a suitcase this week, with quite a tale to accompany its journey.

These are an ongoing, ever evolving series of figures, sculpted to resemble women in Stacey's life and versions of herself at one time or another. They represent a certain point in life, a moment she needs to put a pin in and sit with for a while as to not allow herself to forget.

He hand engraved this piece with waves, a sailboat and set a moissanite north star, guiding her crew through the night.

Many years ago, we met @the.elemental.rover as a very young, enthusiastic person just dipping his toes into making jewellery.

@taytemcraesilver welcomed him into his studio, which was at that time in a barn, tucked into the foothills of the Rockies. They froze together around the wood stove, shaping metal into exquisite pieces of jewellery.

Since then he has worked with us periodically throughout the years, becoming a close friend. He's as kind as they come and we are so proud of how his work has evolved.

Today we're welcoming the fellow Canadian artist and his jewellery into the gallery as we continue our life's work to support artists and build a community of incredible creatives around us.
